About this opportunity

Your mission as a Consumer Marketing Specialist is the tactical interpretation and implementation of Public Relations (“PR”) and Social Medial campaigns that reach out and connect with targeted consumers.  You will dive deep into our social media properties, gather data that will translate into actionable insights and provide direction for campaigns that will contribute to the continued growth of the Canadian business.

You demonstrate an endless appetite to understand the consumers’ (end-users) and the customers’ (doctors) behaviours and key drivers.   You revel in analyzing data, deriving insights from it and being able to contribute to the creation of go-to-market plans that drive results.  You are driven, demonstrate initiative and accountability, execute with excellence, detailed oriented and at the same time operate in a start-up like environment.  As a member of the Canadian Marketing team and in close collaboration with the North American Consumer Marketing team, you demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively through a matrix environment demonstrating the ability influence stakeholders across the consumer, professional, and sales teams.

In this role, you will…

  • Understand consumer mindset/behavior and key barriers to adoption and be able to effectively incorporate insights into the development of programs and communications.
  • Lead the execution of Social Media strategies to increase consumer engagement and conversion, plus present plans to senior management
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Operations and Field Sales Leadership in the development and execution of localized public relations strategies, messaging and tactics that will drive earned media.
  • Actively participate on cross functional teams and partner closely with internal and external partners, including agencies
  • Be an active contributor to identifying insights that drive consumer interest, demand and conversion 
  • Collaborate with local sales leadership to develop a field based plan of execution of marketing projects, programs and resources;
  • Remain focused on delivering against established KPIs, reporting to leadership both results and providing field insights to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of marketing campaigns, programs and processes including driving ongoing optimization programs
  • Demonstrate individual leadership by being customer focused, displaying strategic thinking, having a global and company mindset, focusing on results, and continuously develops skills.
  • Build and foster positive relationships with partners, utilizing a consultative and collaborative approach with the common goal inspiring our customers to modernize and grow their business;
  • Leverage all resources and successfully manage the delivery and analysis of marketing programs and projects
  • Stay active and engaged with important dental care industry and marketing communities; ensuring to stay abreast of trends and changes in that may impact our business or customers.
  • Utilize data/analytics to help customer’s drive decision making
  • Seek out, diagnose and share positive and negative feedback on marketing programs, processes and resources; communicating results and recommendations to leadership
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizes tasks based on organizational need and judgment, and handles working independently in remote situations productive while maintaining focus on customer experience, delivery focus and  brand strength.
  • Effective and independently manage booking of travel within company guidelines; ensuring to adhere to  personal expenses and expense reporting requirements in a timely manner
  • Has a bias toward action, is self-motivated, and a self-starter.
  • Be creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently with a high sense of urgency
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

In this role, you’ll need to have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in preferably in marketing, technology or business related field; or directly related experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of similar experience; in a PR and Social Medial Marketing role (in a “Direct to Consumer models” or consumer goods sold through a channel); with preferably in a related healthcare industry (i.e. dental, orthodontic, optometrist practice etc.) experience
  • Online creative development and campaign execution experience required.
  • Computer proficiency including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, social media platform management and internet research ability
  • Demonstrated successful execution of digital campaigns in a variety of social media platforms including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat, etc.
  • Solid analytical skills for program effectiveness analysis; demonstrating a clear understanding and interpretation of cost / benefit relationships and a clear focus on customers’ needs and market drivers
  • Unwavering self-initiative and drive ;demonstrating the bias to take action & maintain ownership of projects and drive for results through to post-delivery analysis
  • Solid communication skills, in written, verbal and presentation formats, demonstrating the ability to synthesize and deliver complex information with clarity and diplomacy
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks demonstrating an attention to detail, troubleshooting ability, and time management
  • Committed to providing a consistently high standard of customer service
  • Solid project management skills as well as problem solving skills.
  • Focus on teamwork and a proven experience building and leveraging relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners
  • Proven capability to navigate through change and operate with speed and agility
  • Flexibility to travel, both local, within Canada and to US required (approximately 25%)
  • Ideal candidate would be bilingual (French / English)
