[Contractor] Host Operations Specialist, Airbnb Plus

Airbnb Plus is a new incubation project launched in 2018 featuring the highest quality of homes on Airbnb. The candidate is responsible for building, scaling, and continuously improving operations to support the growth, on-boarding and ultimate success of the program in China. Success in the role requires creativity, analytical ability, and strong execution skills.

Plus is a new, high-visibility and constantly-changing product, so the candidate will have the chance to work in a fast-paced start-up environment

This is a contract position for a period of 12 months. In this role, you will be acting and treated as an independent contractor. You will not be engaged as an employee, and will not be eligible for Airbnb employee compensation or benefits. You will be expected to work independently and manage your own time.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for hosts, starting from inviting them to join the Plus program through all phases of on-boarding process.
  • Introduce the host to Airbnb Plus as well as its program benefits. Answer all questions hosts have about the program.
  • Help the host understand and meet Plus quality standards for home design and hospitality. 
  • Sourcing high quality listings and converse them to Plus listings. 
  • Build Plus host community and maintain relationship with hosts via phone calls and wechat to encourage hosts to join Plus and assist with on-boarding. 
  • Proactively and independently work to meet targets by following workflows
  • Research and troubleshoot problems using available resources, and escalate issues accordingly 

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or above
  • 1+ year experience with account management, sales & customer support, business development or event marketing/production.
  • Ability to clearly and convincingly communicate the value of products and services to a wide range of customers.
  • Ability to provide customers with high-quality, high-touch pre- and post-sales support.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate complex tasks with many moving parts, and meet tight deadlines.
  • You’re comfortable in a fast-paced & changing environment.
