Job Description

The External Comms Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Consumer Business of the Company in the area of Public Affairs
  • Development and implementation of the Public Affairs Consumer strategy to maintain and strengthen reputation among the key audiences, based on the business and marketing strategy, global and local priorities
  • Promotion of the key advantages of the company, its products and services with external and internal communication instruments among key external audiences and employees
  • Building and strengthening work with the key media pool, key audiences and their representatives. Influencing company’s reputation in the public sphere
  • Anti-crisis communication and mitigation of communication crisis
  • Development of the social media practice usage to strengthen company’s positioning and reputation.
  • Conduction of the public opinion research and development of informational campaigns and services to strengthen company’s positioning and reputation
  • Organize and assist the public speaking of Consumer business management team (speeches at the forums and conferences, interviews, commentary in the media).
  • Assist the Consumer Management Team with all information required to strengthen company’s reputation and for implementation of the Public affairs strategy
  • Conduction of the monitoring and analytics of Citibank presence in the media/public field and a plan of relevant corrective actions
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of work experience in communications or related field preferred
  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, and a positive professional attitude


Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
