Eaton is seeking a Corporate Human Resources Business Partner. The Corporate HR Business Partner will be based at our Beachwood, OH corporate office. Position Overview: Eaton has an exciting opportunity for an HRBP to join the Corporate Functions HR team. This energetic and high-performing team works together to make work engaging and exciting for the organization’s talent. Collectively, the team is dedicated to providing trusted business partnership to leaders and supplying HR subject matter expertise across a spectrum of topics. This role will provide the selected candidate with a great opportunity to advance their personal HR skills and knowledge by working on global talent challenges with an enterprise network of HR and functional leaders. More specifically, the HR Specialist will provide generalist support to assigned corporate HR Business Partners and their respective clients to drive solutions across a wide variety of HR processes and procedures, including but not limited to: organizational design, employee & manager coaching, performance management, succession planning, compensation, assessment & selection, manager on-boarding, and reporting and analytics. Essential Functions: Support and/or lead the execution of key talent management processes and strategies by ensuring accurate data, communication and deployment (i.e. Org Capability Assessment, Org Talent Reviews, Employee Survey, etc.) Partner and engage with appropriate CoE resources to support HR activity and projects such as: compensation, benefits, talent management, etc. Serve as a subject matter expert and coach to managers in the assessment and selection of talent including job offer/compensation, onboarding, etc. Lead mid-level employee relations (ER) activities by partnering with HR Business Partners, Ethics or Ombuds to resolve conflict or controversy Partner with leaders and HR Services to ensure accurate HRMS data exist to support key HR processes including (Performance Management, Employee Survey, Headcount, etc.) Support all required HR efforts, initiatives and deployments for assigned functions (EE survey, compensation planning, etc.) Manage and drive HR reporting responsibilities for assigned functions by partnering with HR Services and other CoE’s Liaison with HR Services on key audits for assigned functions Lead assigned HR process improvement projects as appropriate (i.e. job titling, career pathing, standard job descriptions, etc.) Answer or direct managers and employees on various inquiries to ensure they are supplied with the appropriate resources to resolve questions (HRS, ER, Fidelity, Portal, etc.) Special projects and other duties as assigned Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution Minimum 5 years progressive HR experience in a global organization or 3 years HR experience and a graduate of Eaton’s HR Development Program Authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship Position Criteria: Demonstrated ability to work consultatively with managers and employees, including ability to proactively engage senior level managers Ability to work independently while demonstrating good discretion, quality decision making and judgement on critical business issues Knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws, (ADA, OFCCP, EEOC, Wage and Hour, State Unemployment Compensation, State Worker's Compensation, etc.) Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects across multiple functions Knowledge of HR systems and reporting (e.g. Oracle) Demonstrate strong ethics and values; be widely trusted; direct and truthful, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and gain confidence. Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to influence and coach at multiple levels of the organization Strong understanding of how to use organizational structure and design to best leverage the talents of employees to deliver on their corporate goals and objectives Proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Org Plus, and PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree from an accredited institution We make what matters work.
