In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be the business partner to Service & Solutions Delivery (SSD) leader and provide business insights through analytics both financially and operationally for forecasting and business decision making. Additionally, you will develop and implement processes to improve the overall accuracy of business / financial planning; as well as, lead special projects or assignments when required.

This position is primarily office-based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in the Markham Philips Canada head office; but offers working from home, 2-3 days per week .

You are responsible for (but not limited to)

  • Prepare the annual operating plan (AOP) and periodic forecasts for the Service & Solutions Delivery (SSD) business.

  • Development and delivery of time and cost-efficient management reporting solutions ensuring leverage of available systems (e.g. SAP, Siebel, APTTUS, ServiceMax, PSA, etc.).

  • Administration of all planning systems tools; assist in the continuous improvement to planning processes, systems, and quality of output.

  • Develop/maintain ‘early-warning alarm system’; ensure unplanned business activities, business environment opportunities/threats are identified/measured; providing sufficient time for management to react to leverage/mitigate.

  • Prepare and provide periodic/ad-hoc financial analytics/reports/ business cases to Executives and Leaders, as requested.

  • Maintain historical databases to prepare trend analysis on such items as; Modality/Regional revenues, General Management (GM), Point-of-Sale (POS) Contracts, Contract renewals, etc.

  • Continuously collaborating with business line/operations peers and other personnel on all aspects of plans/forecasts, including assumptions, targets, etc. and use strong business judgment and knowledge to ensure valid before using as a basis for plans/forecasts.

  • Recommending, implementing, planning, and reporting on processes and improvements.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor Degree required; Masters or Advanced Degree, bonus

  • 3+ years extensive usage of enterprise-wide information systems – SAP (required)

  • Trained in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) – IFRS and/or US GAAP required

  • Strong analytical skills , required

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, to various locations in Canada and to the United States

  • Excellent organization, engagement and communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft products – PowerPoint and Excel , required.

  • Understanding of Philips Accounting Principles; Sales & Service Revenue (SSR) and Sales & Service Delivery (SSD) - specific policies and procedures, a bonus
