Duties:

• Perform database administration for large deployment services to ensure integrity, availability, security and resolve database related problems
• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Database systems in Production, Testing and Development environments
• Monitor, maintain, and tune SQL for greater reliability and performance
• Develop scripts and test backup and recovery strategy
• Working closely with the Application Development Teams regarding technical requirements and feasibility test
• Prepare procedures and documentations for Operations Team
• 2nd tier DBA support for Production platforms

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Oracle or MSSQL or DB2 or MYSQL database administration
• Holder of OCA or OCP or IBM DB2 or MCDBA certification is preferred
• Hands-on experience in database installation, backup & recovery, performance monitoring & tuning
• Knowledge in database HA/DR solutions (RAC/Dataguard/HADR) is an advantage
• Knowledge of system administration and backup tools administration (IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Symantec Netbackup etc) is an advantage
• Team player with analytical and problem solving skills, self-motivation and good interpersonal skill
• Good communication in both spoken and written English and Chinese
