Job Description

The purpose of the Design Manager - Regional (Consumer Health) is to uncover "the transformation of daily health for everyone", to solve real problems for shoppers and consumers by using design and design thinking.  Lead design activities within a regional category group to excel in

holistic design and deliver; Brands that are Remarkable, Ownable, Protectable.  Products that are Desirable, Intuitive, Inclusive Experiences that are Meaningful, Considerate Engaging.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Design Manager - Regional (Consumer Health), are to: 

 

  • Under the direction of the Regional Design Director, manage Regional Brand, Local Pearls and Category Strategy Plans with regard to Design strategy insights and recommendations;
  • Powerbrands and Local Pearls within a given category group - assume the following responsibility:
  • Guide the translation of brand purpose, archetype, + other relevant factors into VBL & EBL, design strategy and roadmaps;
  • Define the guiding principles (fixed and flexible assets) of VBL and EBL in the brand world, including detailed design guidelines for touchpoints within core group responsibility;
  • Manage design key innovations and renovations;
  • Agency management, briefing, design quality / output, budgets and timing;
  • Support and guide flawless transition from intent to execution within the VBL and EBL;
  • Share and align best practices and approach;
  • Share category, consumer, and industry global trends with Design organization and business;
  • Bring Design thinking to the business and processes;
  • Partner with Global Design to ensure flawless transition from intent to execution.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent degree) with minimum of 8 years of experience, Master’s Degree (or equivalent international degree) with a minimum of 6 years of experience;
  • Experience managing ‘holistic’ design across multiple touchpoints, from innovation to execution. A proven track record in building distinctive brand and consumer experiences, delivering notable commercial impact;
  • Able to deal with ambiguity while driving for results;
  • Demonstrated Interpersonal and presentation skills and organizational agility.
