• Mercedes-Benz Research & Development Korea is looking for an outstanding engineer who is passionate about shaping the future of vehicles.
• You will be responsible for the pre-development of displays in close collaboration with HQ and our suppliers. You will develop prototypes, use-cases, basic technical specifications and milestones for pre-development projects.
• With your own competence of display technology, you will create innovative ideas and concepts of displays as well as contribute to develop new display features for on-going and future projects.
• You will actively develop supplier networks - both locally and globally - and work closely with them for building display innovations and excellent products which meet the targets in quality and time.
• You will also be responsible for display panel development and validation of series display projects in close contact with HQ and suppliers in Korea. Through the extensive development and validation activities, you will ensure an unprecedented maturity level of display system before the market release.
• To always stay ahead of competition, you will be closely monitoring related market trends, new technologies and innovation in the area of automotive display and beyond.
Education
• Academic degree in computer science/engineering, electrical/mechanical engineering, physics or a relevant discipline (GPA is above average)
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred
Technical qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in the development of display technology or in-vehicle display component development or comparable field of technology
• Knowledge about product and system development
• Good understanding on display technology such as LCD, OLED, Mini/MicroLED, Optics and so on.
• Experience in project and supplier management

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, systematically diagnose problems and justify technical decisions
• Team player with very good networking abilities.
• Experience in multi-cultural working environment.
• Language skills in Business English - fluent in written and spoken.
• Korean driver license (eligible for an internal driver license) for passenger cars is a must
• Willingness to travel
