#### Position Description:


This is an exciting new position reporting to the Director of Commercial AR/VR
in Lenovo’s PC & Smart Device Group. This position is responsible for all
operational capabilities required to support this new/emerging business in
Lenovo. This position requires wearing many different hats in a “startup” like
environment. Operations covers a wide range of functional capabilities and
requires a broad technical leader and strong management skills to manage cross
functionally both within the team as well as working with peers across Lenovo.

#### Position Requirements:


Business Manager
\- Manage P&L across all Commercial AR/VR projects
\- Main focal point to GEO on all things planning (Mx outlooks, monthly
interlocks, STAMP planning, deep dives, etc.)
\- Stay current on GEO operational progress to achieve monthly / quarterly
business targets
\- Work with GEOs to coordinate funding opportunities to capture business
opportunities
\- Coordinate large deal business case reviews and recommend funding amounts
\- Support Board/exec meetings
Business Operations
\- Works with back end teams to solve issues from GEOs / Business managers
\- Processes PCRs to ODT teams to fulfill GEO needs / changes
\- Work with GSC / lifecycle management team to address supply shortages,
gates and potential alternatives
\- Owns creation/management of internal payment systems (ex. Ariba)
Lifecycle Management
\- Main focal points to GSC and Procurement teams (supplier management, NRE)
\- Coordinates weekly operations review (dashboard) on all things supply /
demand related
\- Provides guidance to each GEO on recommended ramp up / ramp down during
product transitions
\- Provides guidance and reviews long term forecasts with GEO planning teams
Cost Management
\- Main cost focal point for the segment
\- Sets cost targets for each product line with Product Management/Marketing
input
\- Works with GSC and Procurement for cost down opportunities
\- Leads effort with Procurement on RFQs / V&N out for new products

The Manager’s responsibilities include:

-Successfully lead and manage a team of direct and indirect reports to help achieve project goals
-Work closely with Commercial AR/VR leadership team to understand requirements for future solutions
-Leverage marketing requirements, technology capabilities, launch target, target cost and price and business objectives to optimize the product definition
-Participate in and support project schedules, maintain and forecast resource plans, plan and execute to project and product budgets with cross-functional team input
-Commit product scope, cost, project expense, schedule, and financial impact to the business
-Make key trade-off decisions based on features, cost, expense, resources, schedule, and product quality
-Be fully accountable for the project success to meet project schedule and expense and product cost and scope commitments
-Lead global cross-functional team to develop, integrate, validate, and launch
the solutions (HW/SW/Services) on schedule, and within cost and expense
commitments
-Lead cross-function teams to complete transition plans, part qualifications, and product qualifications effectively
-Drive project and schedule optimization to respond to changing marketing conditions and other late product changes
-Support post launch operations as required incl. parts/Supply Chain for unique
products/solutions and HW/SW support not provided by either services or
existing technical operations

Minimum Requirements
o Hold a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
o 10 years or more product experience
o 5 years or more with direct management responsibility of a global team
o Strong knowledge of current project management methodologies
o Strong knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain
o Basic knowledge of product validation, certification, and compliance
o Understand the relationship of their project or program to the portfolio and
solutions
o Strong working knowledge of business matters, finance, planning, forecasting
and
personnel management in order to manage staff and business issues.
o Fluent English written and spoken language

Preferred Requirements:
-Advanced degree in business, engineering or related field
-Multi-disciplinary experience in 3 or more of the following: HW development, SW
development, Systems Integration, Product Management, Supply Chain
-Advanced knowledge of traditional and agile project management methodologies.
-Strong experience with product and solution development in commercial and industrial
IoT or ARVR
-PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
