YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Director Digital Operations, are to: 

 

  • Oversee all in-house and outsourced digital production and campaign management operations activities and processes;
  • Ensure the timely, high quality and cost-effective execution of digital marketing tactics (e.g. websites, email marketing, field digital assets, paid media programs, social media, etc.) per campaign and business objectives;
  • Oversee all project management activities related to the United States portfolio of digital marketing tactics, including project planning, scoping, scheduling, prioritization, capacity planning, risk mitigation, status tracking and issue resolution;
  • Manage SLAs with in-house cross-functional teams (e.g. IT) and outsourced service providers related to the execution of digital marketing tactics and operation of associated tools, platforms and technologies;
  • Coordinate across internal cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. marketing, digital, legal, medical, regulatory, IT) and external stakeholders (e.g. creative agencies, outsourced service providers) to drive adherence to best practice processes and manage issues, risks and tradeoffs in a transparent and expedient way;
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within digital operations processes and services;
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting for the Digital Strategy and Operations team, ensuring tight fiscal control of the functional budget.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • At least five years of digital project management experience with expertise in digital production (e.g. web development) and campaign management activities;
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing tactics (e.g. websites, email, paid media, social media, SEO, mobile apps, etc.) and the technology platforms that enable them;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proven ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences alike;
  • Robust analytical skills to evaluate operational performance and identify efficiencies or areas of improvement;
  • Excellent project management skills in a digital domain, with attention to detail, sense of urgency and a solution-oriented mindset;
  • Track record of successfully delivering initiatives on-time and on budget to exceed stakeholder expectations;
  • Skilled relationship-builder and cross-functional collaborator, able to manage priorities and drive results across a broad set of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience managing budgets and financial forecasts.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • M.B.A. or related graduate degree;
  • Pharma/biotech experience, either in-house or via Agency.
