Job Description

What will I be doing?

Strategic partner to HGI leadership team to ensure the best-in-class practices execution of HGI people strategy.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to key stakeholder management; close partnership with HGI Ops leaders and hotel leadership team to drive critical people agendas, e.g. Talent acquisition and development; Compensation and Benefits guidance; Succession Planning; HR Operation Excellence, Compliance etc.

•Closely work with HR VP GCM and VP Operations HGI to set the right HR strategy/tactics for focus services in GCM.

•Provide a full range of HR consultation and support to focus service leadership and Hotel General Managers. Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to Focus Services hotel HR Manager and team members.

•Be the bridge between Hilton and best HR practices in the market for Focus Services. Continuously evolve the HR strategy/tactics to ensure our people and business competitiveness in the market.

•Be the HRBP to drive regular Corporate projects/programs including but not limited to Performance Management, Talent Review, Year-End Compensation Process, Diversity & Inclusion and Global Team Member Survey etc.

•Partner closely with all HR COEs to design or tailor-make HR programs and practices which suits and facilitates business development needs.

•Drive the HR Operational Excellence for Focus Services to ensure the upmost productivity and service level.

•Guide and Facilitate the Human Capital meeting in the Focus Service to ensure the Succession Plan for GM and HOD level in place.

•Partner with Leadership & Career and Campus Recruitment team to develop and constantly evolve a fit-for-purpose Talent Development Program and Management Trainee Program for Focus Services.

•Manage ad-hoc requests and projects such as Labor Relations, and/or other projects and responsibilities as necessary.

•Closely drive & monitor the hotel’s HR dashboard, People Audit & other tools and provide coaching and guidance to the hotel HRs for the improvement.

•Partner with VP Ops and hotel GMs to effectively communicate with the owners regarding to Human Resources initiatives & programs as necessary.

•Work closely with Focus Services leadership team including VP Operations, Finance and Commercial to monitor the hotel business through budget presentation, monthly Rolling Forecast call, hotel on-site business review etc. as to achieve overall balance scorecard index.

•Collaborate with Pre -opening DHR to solve the adhoc issue in the hotel if needed.

•Conduct monthly meetings with property HR to ensure effective communication and best practice sharing.

What are we looking for?

Director Human Resources Focus Services serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

• Has solid corporate HR leadership experiences in hospitality industries or other industries with similar business nature, e.g. FMCG, Retail, etc.

• Strong resilence, well-communicated

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field/equivalent.

• At least 10 years progressively responsible experience in Human Resources with exposure to and demonstrated competence in all functional areas. Strong relationship management skills with strong track record of establishing credibility and delivering results.

• At least 4 years of management or supervisory experience

• Strong knowledge of China local labor legislation.

• Fluency in English and Mandarin.

• Availability to travel frequently within China
