The Global Privacy Team’s mission is to protect critical customer data from misuse by consistently bringing a privacy-first mindset to a constantly evolving industry. We are seeking an experienced and passionate privacy professional with privacy and payment product knowledge, and a practical self-starter mindset to advise and embed privacy by design in our products and experiences. This individual will be responsible for working closely with Product, Marketing and UX content teams across PayPal and Honey brands to conceptualize and design successful product strategies with privacy as the competitive advantage that will drive customers to use PayPal as their payment platform of choice. We’re seeking an analytical, flexible, and resourceful individual to develop, execute, and scale a customer and merchant privacy and data proactive user acquisition strategy with a focus of driving responsible and ethical use of the growing volume of data, as well as be more transparent around data practices and AI.

Position Summary/Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functionally to align teams across both Honey and PayPal on testing methodologies, measurement, creative strategy, and legal guidelines
  • We’re seeking an individual with a proven track record of delivering results in the digital space, with the ability to develop strategy from scratch, sell big ideas internally and externally, and have a drive for testing, learning, and making insight-driven decisions.
  • Desire and passion to educate and build products with customer’s and employee’s privacy at the forefront
  • Work across teams such as product, analytics, engineering, legal, and PayPal counterparts to maximize your channel’s output while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure projects are aligned with business goals, organizational strategy and prioritized appropriately.
  • Excellent performance marketing and creative instincts with a track record of driving new ideas and concepts, and pioneering new approaches within your company
  • A passion for continuous improvement - you consistently challenge the status quo in an effort to optimize current strategies and processes
  • High attention to detail, expert analytical skills, comfortable validating large amounts of data
  • Innate willingness to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty
  • Thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Establish and motivate stakeholders across various levels of management by acting as a trusted advisor
  • Participate in cross functional initiatives, providing value-add solutioning and subject matter expertise on privacy relevant matters
  • Resourceful solutioning and rationalization of complex challenges in product design and Privacy
  • Support in the design of customer facing products to ensure privacy by design and privacy compliance at launch as well as privacy being a key competitive advantage to the use of PayPal shopping and branded products
  • Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders from product, marketing, legal, & compliance teams.

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

  • 10+ years of privacy or data experience.
  • Product design or product engineering, data analytics experience.
  • Experience working closely with product and/or marketing teams.
  • Experience working with acquisitions and external vendors of data and technology
  • Proven track record of driving results and building effective relationships with all levels of management.
  • Ability to multitask effortlessly and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to liaise between different departments and personalities to effectively manage and disseminate flow of information.
  • Embody an entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity, and a bias towards action.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment which demands quick thinking and strong attention to detail.
  • Develop short-term and long-term user acquisition strategies that will deliver on performance goals while supporting brand goals across Honey and PayPal properties
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills.
