Job Description

Director of Marketing Communications is responsible for the promotion of the hotel, its image, facilities and services to the general public, customers, the hotel and the community. She is also responsible for gaining positive exposure for the Hotel in the mass media and the community, as well as building a solid presence in the market by maintaining good relationship with the press and the local community.

Develop, manage and execute hotel marketing plans and communications strategies with associated budgets.

Monitor and control expenses based on approved sales & marketing budget.

Ensure that the communications strategies and activity plans are in line with the hotel’s commercial objectives and brand guidelines.

Build solid presence in the market by maintaining good relationship with the press and the local community.

Coordinate promotional activities, advertising and all other marketing communications.

Plan and execute internal and external communications plans.

Collateral Design and Development

Work with sales\F&B team to produce top quality and highly effective collateral.

Ensure that all promotional materials and hotel collaterals are developed in accordance with the Brand Identity Guidelines,

E-commerce Management

Work with Hilton MECC team to ensure contents of Hilton Hotel pages are updated at all times.

Management of hotel social media (wechat, weibo, etc) to keep hotel positive image and promote hotel business.

Monitoring and control of hotel information on 3rd party exposure.

Media Relation Management

Develop and maintain the hotel’s media database. Regular communication with the local press

Ensure that all press kits and other media materials are up-to-date and meet the required standards.

To ensure press releases are sent to all local & regional media (print, broadcast,online,KOL, etc.) on all happenings/ events in the hotel.

Respond to all media and PR agencies’ requests in a timely and professional manner.

Arrange media interviews and profile pieces with key hotel spokespersons.

To coordinate with all activities concerning publicity in film shooting, photo shooting, interviews by local & overseas media etc.

To maintain stock inventory of an updated photo library.

Issues and Crisis Management

Devise media statements and other communications as required in response to an issue or crisis at the hotel.

Assist the hotel’s crisis management team in preparing required reports following a crisis situation.

Creative writing skills.

Extensive knowledge of Ad. / Media Planning and printing/ production process.

PC knowledge: Word, Excel, Web and basic knowledge of Desktop Publishing System.

Organized, detail-oriented and with good administrative skill.

Good contacts with local press
