Currently, Maplekids Education Group has two international schools in Lanzhou, China. We serve over 500 families with over 50 staffs. We will soon open our brand-new childcare programs (ELFi First School) in Shanghai, China, and Chengdu, China in 2019.

Location: Lanzhou, China

Position:

Full-time, Mondays-Fridays, 35-40 hours per week (renew the contract every year)

Position Title:

Early Childhood Educator (ECE teacher); Infant Toddler Educators (IT teacher); ECE Assistants

1 Position available:

Looking for full-time ECE or Infant & Toddler teachers, and teacher assistants to lead in the ELFi daycare classrooms

Start Date:

September or October 2019

Compensation:

Starting at $20 to $25 Canadian dollar per hour, approximately 15,000 to 20,000 RMB Chinese Dollar per month (negotiable based on education and professional experience)

Job summary:

This job requires educators to relocate to Lanzhou, China.

The Early Childhood Educators, Infant& Toddler Educators, and assistants report to the principal of Maplekids Education Group, lead in the delivery of high-quality programs, implement the ELFi First School’s core values in daily practice. All educators will receive training in advance about how to teach ELFi project-based curriculum.

Required Job Competencies:
(1) Relocating to Lanzhou, China to work directly on the floor with children
(2) Preparing for age-appropriate and project-based learning activities for the children
(3) Maintaining positive communication with families and co-workers to build a strong team

(4) Planning and Preparing for special events (e.g. Spring Festival, Graduation Ceremony)
(5) Participating in staff meetings and attending professional development events

(6) Willing to grow as professional leaders in the field to lead ELFi workshops in the future

Qualification:

(1) Canada or US Early Childhood Education (ECE) License to practice, or ECE assistant license or teacher license (Mandatory)

(2) Infant & Toddler Educator Certificate; Special Needs Educator Certificate; Canada or US teacher license (Assets)

(3) No criminal record worldwide

(4) Standard First Aid and CPR-C (or willing to obtain)

(5) Medical Clearance according to Child Care Licensing Regulations

(6) Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (other languages are assets)

(7) Two professional references

(8) Minimum 1 years of teaching experience working directly with children
