Description

• Planning and project coordination of all electric systems incl. PLC for paint shop operations.
• Prepare planning options, evaluate cost-efficiency and provide analysis of both.
• Exchange Information with partners / colleagues in the plant and in Production Planning (Best practice).
• Plan and document shop equipment requirements, specification documents and supports RfQ processes with other planning departments till awarding.
• Supervises planning, engineering and commissioning of controls equipment until final buy-offs of equipment in the paint shop together with suppliers and BBAC production teams.
• Plan and introduce measures to follow/meet legal requirements for the protection of the environment.
• Creating and checking of technical documentation and specifications.
• Preparing of cost comparison and feasibility calculations.
• Collaboration within PP and BBAC/ME teams and with further stakeholder (Production, Maintenance, IT, etc.) in Daimler, BBAC, DGRC.
• Working out of comprehensive and complex Specification Manual and tender documentation, on the basis of the valid standards and in consideration of the Chinese norms, regulations and laws.
• Organizes internal and external meetings to clarify definition of problems and reports findings.
• Follows and ensures all affected rules, policies and laws concerning safety and security.
• Defining concepts for structured standardization and modularization of the control technology details and interfaces lying within the responsibility areas, on the basis of valid norms, regulations and laws (Chinese), including the newest developments.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering Automation & Controls (M. Sc./Eng., B. Sc./Eng., Dipl.-Ing.) and / or equivalent professional electrical training and education(e.g. Techniker or Meister).
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a controls engineering oriented environment within a manufacturing setting, with strong emphasis on project management, equipment planning and process planning.
• Professional experience in electrical planning with Siemens Integra Standard wave 5/6 and / or equivalent professional training.
• Work experience with Siemens S7/TIA controls systems in an automotive environment are substantial. PLC-programming knowledge is needed.
• Experience in paint shop environment (esp. DUERR) and ideally planning.
• Goal-oriented, structured self-dependent, and customer-oriented working style.
• Coordination, cross-functional and cultural communication and team work skills.
• Intercultural sensitivity, experience in working abroad, preferably in working within the Chinese culture.
• Fluent in written and spoken English language.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical information, both verbally and in writing.
• Professional knowledge in PLC Systems (Siemens S7 w/ TIA Portal Integra standard solutions), iDesigner for HMI applications.
• Basic Skills in ePlan P8 / Hardware drawings.
• Daimler Integra 5th/6th wave detailed knowledge.
• Proficient in MS Office applications
