Minimum qualifications:

  • 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience with supplier process and quality system audit.
  • Experience with gauge metrology for Cp/Cpk, FAI, Gauge R&R, etc.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience using statistics tools for data analysis.
  • Experience in product assembly, inspection and test process development and assessment.
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical design for excellence (DFX) (e.g., manufacturability (DFM), design for test (DFT), design for reliability (DFR), etc.).
  • Experience with statistic process control techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with suppliers to solve product problems.

As an Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google's powerful search technology. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product engineering teams and suppliers from NPI qualification through production and end of life coverage.
  • Participate in duties including auditing, problem solving, failure analysis and issues resolution activities that enhance and maintain supplier-outgoing quality.
  • Communicate frequently with regional management and US headquarters in Mountain View.
