How will you make an impact?

Utilize knowledge of engineering principles in connection with executing responsibilities, which responsibilities include process improvement, problem resolution, project management, and employee training.

What will you do?
 
  • Provide support to manufacturing departments by collecting and processing information related to assigned projects, evaluating all information and alternatives, preparing and presenting plans, and recommending a course of action to management.
  • Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products/processes, including the deployment and training of team members.
  • Complete validation of new equipment and revalidation of significantly modified equipment
  • Monitor performance of equipment/machines/tools and manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate and approve drawings, routings, manufacturing instructions, specs, and other documents.
  • Analyze and solve a range of engineering problems from basic technical problems to complex problems that require: the analysis of situations or data; an in-depth evaluation of various factors; and/or a new, innovative approach or breakthrough in technology.
  • Assist Engineers with manufacturing processes, line layouts, fixture design, equipment validations (IQ/OQ), FAT, capability studies, documentation, LEAN techniques, etc.
  • Assist Engineering with design, development, improvement, and cost reduction of new and existing products
  • Participate in site continuous improvement activities including PPI and Lean
  • Meets plant individual performance expectation focusing on Quality, Safety and Delivery.
  • Assures all teams are in the adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Assures compliance with corporate site and regulatory policies, practices and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

How will you get there?
 
  • Associates Degree or certification in Engineering, Electronics, Packaging, Mechanics, or a related field required.
  • Electrical, Electronics and Controls - Proficient in electrical, electronics and controls technologies typically employed in industrial production equipment including PLC ladder logic programming and HMI configuration and programming

Physical Requirements:
 
  • Business casual office environment
  • Significant time each day spent in GMP manufacturing environment in which designated PPE will be required.
  • Position will require sitting and standing.
  • Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
 
  • Capable of troubleshooting automated equipment, electronics, sensors, motors, and servos
  • Production equipment – Experience with automated production equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical skills including the ability to perform mechanical disassembly, repairs, and reassembly of complicated automated production equipment
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, electrical systems and industrial automation. Proficient use with all hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of practices and techniques in repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Communication – Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interpersonal interactions
  • Good writing skills for preparing specifications, Technical Reports, and operating procedure
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, PLC/HMI programming, SCADA, VFDs/servos, Basic, and other configurable automation components
