YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Automatization of processes for the manufacturing and analysis of cell and gene therapies at laboratory and process scale to increase efficiency and quality improvement
• Responsibility for development and implementation of automation concepts and for standardization of interfaces
• Evaluation of project scopes with concept development, planning and implementation of automation projects (hardware and software), together with partners
• Management of interfaces to other disciplines, functions and system integrators
• Characterization and evaluation of devices with regard to their suitability for the automation of pharmaceutical processes
• Technology scouting of automation platforms
• Contribution to the technical global development of the field of work

WHO YOU ARE

• Engineering degree in robotics, medical technology, electrical engineering or automation technology related to life science with relevant professional experience and/or PhD in the relevant field
• Expertise in the automation of laboratory or process equipment in biotechnological and chemical environment as well as knowledge of common automation standards and current standardization initiatives
• Extensive knowledge in the use of engineering tools and software as well as experience in the area of machinery and plant safety; knowledge of biotechnological or chemical analytics as well as process engineering is desirable
• Good project management skills and the ability to prioritize and focus on key tasks
• Creativity and enthusiasm for innovation and solving technical problems
• Good communication and collaborating across disciplines skills
• Willingness to travel worldwide (approx. 20 %)
• Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
