Maxim is seeking an Entry-Level Field Applications Engineer to support assigned IC products through the full product life-cycle. Assignment may be in Maxim’s industrial, medical, communications, automotive, or mobility solutions groups.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Provide technical support to our key customers

• Be responsible for providing technical expertise through sales presentations and product demos

• Assist the regional sales in assessing potential applications of Maxim products to meet our customer needs

• Deliver accurate technical information to our customers on how to use our products

• Help customers troubleshoot their systems and solve their technical

• Mine customer requirements for product improvements and future product development

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree plus 4-8 years of relevant work experience in semiconductor or board level circuit design

• Understanding of transistor-level circuit design

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Reporting Structure

This is an individual contributor role. Located in Shanghai and report to FAE manager.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Provide Automotive Serdes and power application support for target automotive customers. Include schematic/PCB layout review, onsite trouble shooting, etc.

• Work closely with Sales to facilitate sales plan/goal at target automotive customer from technical perspective.

• Work with BU for product promotion and deeply understand international standard and automotive platform for provide suggestion for new product strategy and definition.

• Engage with target car OEM/tie 1. Better understand technique requirement for product promotion.

• Make technique seminar/training to team and customer for technique sharing and promotion.

Qualifications & Skills

• MSEE with at least 5 years experiences in electronics, excellent bachelor may be considered.

• Good knowledge for signal, analog and power basic principle.

• Good hardware skill on debug circuit board, familiar with lab equipment and SCH/PCB software.

• Understand high speed protocol on camera and display application and high speed signal hardware design and debug.

• 4-5 years hardware design experience in ADAS/infotaiment design is plus.

• Knowledge on Semiconductor technologies is plus.

• Fluent in written and oral English.
