Job Description
Responsibilities
- Support business partnership activities for the Clinical Trials Division (CTD) APAC leadership team. Provide support to sites located in: China, Japan, India, Singapore and South Korea.
- Understand key business drivers and provide management with accurate, timely, and relevant information for decision-making via current analysis processes as well as develop new processes for improvements
- Work closely with business partners to forecast revenue monthly and understand risks and upsides to forecasts. Track revenue by service line and site on a monthly basis and provide analysis vs. relevant comparison periods for management.
- Drive monthly local forecast reviews, participate in monthly APAC sales forecast calls with territory lead. Prepare and submit forecast files to division finance team (CTD).
- Driving accurate projections through Annual Operating Plan, strategic plan and monthly forecasting updates through a solid process.
- Participate actively in the strategic and business planning process.
- Generate budgets that incorporate strategic business plan objectives and incorporate appropriate assumptions.
- Responsible for the profitability assessment of business proposals, including development of custom pricing/costing models.
- Collect, analyze, evaluate and report data in order to increase productivity. Create a robust set of revenue analytics that provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Leverage system capabilities to efficiently report key performance metrics to leadership team on a regular basis.
- Perform ad hoc data analysis and analytic support for special project.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor/Master degree in Finance, Business Administration or likewise.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Financial Planning and Analytics
Critical skills
- Strong understanding of financial statements and financial systems
- Strong proficiency in MS office applications, especially Excel
- Strong systems skills with ability to learn new systems quickly – SAP and Hyperion desired
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to anticipate and adapt to changes in the business environment
- Fluent spoken and written English is required
- Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills with a proactive and common sense approach to issue resolution. A hands-on style and an enjoyment derived from working closely with teams will be necessary.
