Job Overview


Lead Freightliner brand marketing communications strategy and program development for both On Highway and Vocational Segments to ensure approved brand positioning is consistently communicated through all channels and activities. Develop and manage team to ensure excellent results and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

- Lead Freightliner brand marketing communications strategy and program development for both On Hwy and Vocational segments to ensure approved brand positioning is consistently communicated through all channels and activities.

- Develop and manage staff to ensure excellent results and growth opportunities.

- Additional duties and responsibilities include:Work with Product Marketing to lead the development of a MarCom strategy that aligns/supports the overall sales & marketing strategy.

- Collaborate with Brand Managers over Vocational and On-Highway to assure Detroit brand is correctly represented in communication materials.

- Oversee the management of all positioning and external communications for the assigned brand/segment.

- Print and digital media advertising; development and placement.

- All collateral materials including product sales literature, videos, posters, banners, calendar, etc.

- Dealer product sales support materials including fulfillment Trade show branding and graphics Social media content and messaging

- Web site content and messaging Product image library.

- Coordinate with product marketing and product strategy to ensure timely execution in the marketplace and accuracy of information.

- Manage external agency relationships to develop relevant messaging and strategy.

- Ensure projects are compelling, well managed, and delivered on time.

- Include product segment managers in agency conversations to aid in educating agency on market nuances and dynamics.

- Contract and manage still product photography, video and CGI projects.

- Manage those assets and make available to internal users and dealers.

- Evaluate and fulfil vendor requests for these assets if consistent with our strategy.

- Collaborate with Corporate Communications to develop impactful press releases and unique press opportunities/stories.

- Collaborate with other DTNA communication teams; including DTNA corporate communications and aftermarket to ensure coordinated brand messages.

- Assist product training as needed to create brand centric, effective and differentiated sales training tools.

- Manage and enforce graphic guidelines and brand identity standards internally, with promotional item vendor(s), with dealers, suppliers and others.

- Counsel on correct usage.

- Responsible for managing annual budget and compliance with NPM purchasing processes.

- Provide staff with consistent coaching and feedback to ensure excellent results and growth opportunities.

- Utilize Impulse initiatives as available.

Required Qualifications: 


- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university/college with 8+ years of related experience required
- At least 1 year of group leader, project lead required. 
- Must be able to critique creative design, photo composition and copy required.
- Travel required to execute above responsibilities required.
- Strong organizational, project management, interpersonal and presentation skills required.
- Must have the ability to manage many projects at once and execute deliverables on time and within budget required.

Preferred Qualifications:


- Must be proficient at providing clear and consistent direction to agency partner preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, communications or ad agency roles preferred.
- 5 years business experience preferred.
