YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Global Digital Workflow Strategy Lead, are to: 

• Lead cross-functional team(s) to plan, design and test IT solutions supporting the strategic direction of the business across all Veg Research & Development (R&D) product pipelines and world regions;
• Primarily focus on laboratory and trait integration workflows;
• Work closely with business and IT partners to ensure delivery of end-to-end IT systems on-time and within budget;
• Solicit, interpret and prioritize business capability requests in alignment with business and IT strategies and assist with preparation of IT projects for capital approval;
• Serve as primary contact between IT and business users and enhance business awareness of IT project deliverables by developing communication plans and project updates;
• Acquire a deep understanding of end-to-end business processes and strategic imperatives;
• Define and track project success metrics to ensure delivery of anticipated business capabilities;
• Provide necessary input into governance processes and policies to ensure business value is realized.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least eight years of experience or Master’s degree with at least six years of experience or Ph.D. with qt least three years of experience in Crop Science or equivalent area;
• Demonstrated R&D domain knowledge in lab and field experiment management and plant breeding;
• Thorough understanding of IT product pipelines;
• Demonstrated matrix project leadership and proven ability to grow relationships with key partners;
• Demonstrated ability to influence decisions using cross business-IT relationships;
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills;
• Experience modeling business processes.
