Global Technology Engineer - Process – Cleveland, TN

The Global Technology Engineer is responsible for fundamental execution of activities to accelerate global standardization. The Global Technology Engineer is an active member of the Global Engineering community including the regional engineering/project teams. The Global Technology Engineer is responsible for deploying his/her specific segment engineering know-how to support regional project teams in their project execution.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Project management experience/training
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • 3-5 years of experience as an engineer
  • 1-3 years as a project manager, preferably in the Food Manufacturing Industry
  • Good understanding of elements like GMP, HACCP
  • Specific expertise in processing of food or confections is required

What would your key responsibilities be?

  • Providing engineering know-how to support the execution of projects
  • Development/refinement of Mars Wrigley standards
  • Work on technical solutions and innovation which match the business requirements in alignment with Tech.Dev / Business Units
  • Maintain the relationship with the global OEM partners and suppliers,
  • Take ownership in the area of functional expertise,
  • Translate selected engineering concepts into engineering designs,
  • Maintain the technical knowledge in the field of expertise and regularly benchmark the global standards,
  • Coaching regional engineers on the application of global standards,
  • Developing or refining engineering tools for standardization.
  • Preparing, supporting and leading meetings for global project reviews
  • Providing input into the project development process
    • Layouts/space allocation
    • P&ID’s
    • Costing
    • Equipment details
    • Capacity calculations and impacts of changes to standards.
    • Future proofing projects for innovation
    • Technical information required for project design
  • Support regions in understanding LEAN Line layout and clean design.
  • Collaborate with internal/external partners to drive SIG, Q&FS and Safety by Design via integration into our standards.
