Golf Maintenance Lead Hand

What you will be doing:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Supervise the Golf Maintenance department and ensure all standards are followed
  • Maintain the overall upkeep and presentation of the golf course, while taking a lead role to ensure the greens are in great condition
  • Apply fertilizer and pesticide on a periodic basis, recording each application
  • Operate power tools and equipment, using proper personal protective equipment as required
  • Assist in the training of all golf maintenance colleague
  • Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous golf maintenance experience is required, within a minimum of five years experience
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset
  • Experience and knowledge of irrigation systems preferred
  • Experience in calibration and applications of fertilizers and chemicals is preferred 
  • Certification/diploma in a related discipline is required
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clean record is required

Physical aspects include but are not limited to:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
