Grad Intern – R&D (CMC- Regulatory Affairs, Advocacy and External Engagement)

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The successful candidate will assist the Global Regulatory Affairs CMC team with external engagement and scientific exchange with regulatory agencies. 

Possible projects include:

  • Maturation of the External Engagement Program within Regulatory Affairs CMC
  • Supporting experiential learning site visits, e.g. hosting FDA, if applicable, at our Thousand Oaks campus 
  • Assisting with research queries, covering topics at the intersection of scientific and regulatory fields
  • Writing descriptions for white papers or articles of regulatory CMC interest,
  • Assisting with presentations or projects of interest in Regulatory Affairs CMC
  • Candidate will coordinate with Senior Management in Global Regulatory Affairs CMC, Process Development scientific experts, and as applicable the logistics team for site visits.

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 

18 years or older

Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR PhD for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR PhD program before internship starts

Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications

Undergraduate and graduate degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. life sciences, chemistry, biology, biotechnology, materials science),

Currently pursuing a graduate degree in a STEM field or in Regulatory Affairs

Must have strong written and oral communication skills

Enjoy independent learning, doing research, and presenting on a wide variety of topics.
