Grad Intern – R&D (Global Bone Medical Communications)

During this program, you will be responsible for developing high quality, scientifically rigorous resources that adhere to internal guidelines, SOP’s, policies, and industry regulations supporting the Bone Therapeutic Area. You will apply your scientific background and literature analysis skills to practical situations. This setting will allow you to integrate business needs with clinical and scientific expertise. Projects include Bone Health disease state or product related communications. Responsibilities also include: 

  • Analyzing medical literature relevant to project topic 

  • Developing scientific content in various formats 

  • Collaborating cross-functionally with multiple team  

  • Supporting activities related to congresses, resource development including Medical Information Letters, MSL resources, digital platforms, and websites 

  • Analyzing medical insights to inform development of scientific content

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:  

18 years or older

Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent 

Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR PhD for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR PhD program before internship starts 

Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment 

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts 

Preferred Qualifications 

Currently enrolled in a PharmD or PhD program and completion of at least the second year of program 

Strong project management skills 

Ability to think critically & work independently 

Excellent interpersonal skills 

Attention to detail  

Understanding of literature searching & data evaluation
