Job Description

About the Role:

This position will support initiatives in learning and development, career planning, appraisals, team succession planning, high potential development, university relations, trainings and recruitment. This role will focus primarily on the soft side of HR, supporting the HR Business Partner for Hong Kong and working alongside the HR Operational team and C&B colleagues.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage the learning and development process, platform, timetable for Hong Kong
  • Manage projects related to career paths for all teams in Hong Kong and Regional roles
  • Work with universities and schools for a talent pipeline for new graduates and internships
  • Drive and implement recruitment initiatives including extend sourcing channels, collect market information and review candidate assessment strategies
  • Support with the recruitment of various roles, from screening to managing interviews and all necessary logistics
  • Stay current with the labor market and provide hiring strategies to the Hong Kong management team
  • Participate in ad-hoc HR projects when needed

 

Experience:

  • A passion for, and excellence in, working in a collaborative manner while demonstrating strong expertise in HR business partnering
  • Strong project management skills and process-orientated
  • High tolerance for ambiguity amidst change is key to success in this position
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment and be a resourceful individual capable of dealing confidently with senior executives while effectively supporting employee needs at all levels of the organization.

 

Skills:

  • Be proactive and motivated
  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, preferred but not a must.
  • 5-7 years of relevant Human Resources Business Partner experience.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with both peers and management and influence with integrity
  • Demonstrate ability to think strategically, creatively and to work independently
  • Able to work in a fast-paced business environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize demands and facilitate change are critical
  • Experience in market research or professional services settings is a plus
  • Fluency in English and Cantonese. Mandarin is a plus

 

The ideal candidate? You must be able to work as part of a team while managing projects independently with minimal supervision and in a timely manner. Nielsen is a fast-paced environment so you will need to be agile with your work, managing ad hoc requests and global process. Time management and prioritization are important. A pro-active, can-do attitude and high work ethic are a must.
