Job Description

Our People Team is expanding and we are adding a Head of Colleague Reward. Reporting to the Global Director for People Relations, you will design and implement fair, attractive transparent and effective recognition strategies that align to our company behaviors and values.  

This is a new opportunity to drive a coordinated strategy across Taylor & Francis on compensation and benefits; ensuring we reward for the skills the organization needs now and into the future and that we can use compensation tools to drive our business strategy. This role will enable colleagues to feel valued by T&F and for us to have a direct owner for the compensation and benefits policies across the countries 20+ countries.

You will be responsible for ensuring a robust end to end reward process and identifying gaps that exist within it with a view to continuous improvement and change.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop innovative and competitive compensation and benefits programs understanding the reward challenges and opportunities that exist now and into the future. Focusing, globally on the areas of
    • Basic Pay
    • Financial and non-financial Reward
    • Incentives and benefits
    • Benchmarking
  • Lead global reward initiatives and processes for the division alongside responsibility for delivering all cyclical reward activities, including the annual pay review and bonus process for all 2000+ colleagues
  • Provide education and guidance on compensation issues, which allow management to effectively attract, retain and reward their employees in line with the Company's pay-for-performance philosophy.
  • Create, communicate, and continuously optimize initiatives such as salary structures and short-term incentive plans customized for specific country nuances and ensure compliance with local employment regulations.
  • Support the implementation and roll out of a job grading framework.
  • Select and participate in compensation/benefits surveys and analyse survey results to assess the competitiveness of internal practices.
  • Understand and develop long term senior incentive programmes, partnering with the Global HRD and CFO to discuss and update these programmes.
  • Create ad-hoc reports as necessary to meet senior management’s and HR Business Partners’ information/analysis requests.
  • Act as a key stakeholder in shaping the reward transformation agenda as a result of mergers or acquisitions.
  • Provide analysis on compensation, bonus, equity, recognition awards and ensure fairness and equity is at the core of all awards
  • Develop a robust governance structure for all reward processes
  • Support any required regulatory reporting that is needed.
  • Accountable for the effective communication of all rewards to employees, including the total reward system.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will be a highly credible individual with a proven track record in developing, managing and implementing reward strategies across a global business.
  • Global knowledge of reward and benefits covering EMEA, APAC and US is essential.
  • Highly skilled at evaluating, developing, and implementing compensation and benefits strategies and programs that bring alignment across the organization.
  • Passion for collaboration, both within a People team and with senior stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • A People focused background would be helpful in executing this role.
  • You will have a ‘roll your sleeves up attitude' but use your experience to strategically input and drive  various areas of compensation work already in motion.
  • Engaging communication style with high attention to detail across all written communication mediums.
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Experience in a global multinational organisation is essential to execute strategy via an often matrix environment
  • Able to manage complexity, ambiguity and change.
  • A positive approach to lifelong learning, pushing themselves to adapt and grow.
  • A proactive attitude, with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
