The Opportunity at AIA

The Head of Marketing, Health role exists to lead the marketing function for AIA’s health insurance business. This role can be filled in either Melbourne or Sydney.

This is a high-profile role in the AIA Health Leadership Team and works closely with local and international joint venture shareholder executive teams, product and marketing groups, AIA’s senior leadership group and external creative and media agencies.

As the most senior marketing role in the health insurance business the key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Health marketing function to achieve sales targets through digital and direct to fund channels

  • Advising on channel marketing activity to support achievement of sales targets through independent financial advisers, aggregator and partnership distribution channels 

  • Custodian of the AIA Health brand, responsibility for the representation / integration of AIA Health as part of broader AIA brand architecture

  • Development and implementation of a full customer life-cycle marketing strategy, including activities to drive AIA Vitality program engagement

  • Collaborate with Health Product and Member Service Teams to develop and deliver integrated customer value propositions

  • Integrate the AIA Vitality proposition with Health customer value propositions and digital experiences

  • Deliver and iterate reporting and analysis as necessary, to ensure visibility of marketing and sales effectiveness and to identify drivers of success

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Extensive and demonstrated marketing and digital experience, preferably with a background in insurance/financial services or other related industries

  • Demonstrated experience in development and execution of strategy including product, channel and marketing

  • Demonstrated experience in launching new brands and products in a complex organisations and highly regulated environments

  • Demonstrated experience working across the marketing value chain from marketing strategy development through to campaign design, planning, execution and evaluation

  • Significant experience managing projects, facilitating cross functional working groups and working in a highly dynamic fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to implement and lead change

  • Able to lead teams (directly or indirectly) to successful delivery using customer centric mindsets, methods, templates and tools

  • Ability to lead, influences, negotiates and engages at all levels of the organisation

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Strategic leadership and agility
