VP of Sales & Marketing

BCGDV is working on an innovative new digital business with a medical device healthcare company. We are building a next generation neurological disease management platform to transform the lives of these patients, empowering them to better understand their condition, have better conversations with their doctor and ultimately achieve better health outcomes. The business has plans to grow aggressively and independently to capture a majority market share, with an initial focus in the US market. The business will scale to 15-20 people by 2021, and be based in London, England, with some international travel.

This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional Head of Sales & Marketing with a background in successfully scaling tech start-ups, to provide leadership to our Venture team. Joining at an early stage in this new venture, you will take an active role in strategic decisions and the overall direction of the business.

 

What you'll do:

  • Deliver strategic leadership for defining the commercial path to growth and profitability of the company and the establishment of an effective growth process and infrastructure
  • Assess, build and manage a pipeline of healthcare customers (KOLs, physicians and patients) across relevant channels to deliver on the company's growth objectives
  • Directly manage the relationship with key customers
  • Drive contracting processes with key customers
  • Help to define and deliver key KPIs
  • Build sales and business development organisation from the ground up: hire team of sales managers and select and implement state of the art sales tools, define effective internal processes and create compelling sales material, create KPI based performance system
  • Align with corporate partner sales efforts to identify potential synergies
  • Actively engage and develop a comprehensive network within this disease space, and become a thought leader in our ventures’ niche
  • Work closely with product team to communicate customer needs and constantly improve the product
  • Update implementation and operational plans based on data-driven decisions and analyses

 

What you'll bring:

  • Experience building a small/medium sized marketing team in high-growth, dynamic environment
  • Significant experience developing partnerships with senior medical personnel, key opinion leaders (KOLs), patients and patient advocacy groups
  • Significant experience in developing and running digital growth and traditional marketing campaigns within the healthcare space
  • Experience working in the med tech industry, highly preferred
  • Experience negotiating contracts with 3rd parties and healthcare providers
  • Experience selling directly into the healthcare sector with a small team, preferably with sales of digital solutions, clinically vs systems focused
  • Experience with senior stakeholder management, and working closely with corporate partner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate ideas effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Strong, authentic voice within healthcare setting
  • Ability to travel to key customers
