Alongside our corporate partner, BCG Digital Ventures is launching a Medicare-focused insurance startup that will transform the way consumers engage and learn about Medicare, how they come to and make a purchase decision, and the interaction experience beyond the transaction. The vision is to be an end-to-end platform that acts as a trusted educational resource & marketplace, delivering personalized recommendations for consumers shopping for Medicare-related insurance products through a seamless and integrated digital and human-assisted model. Financially backed and operationally supported by one of the world’s most recognized insurance companies and BCGDV, this startup is well positioned to disrupt the multi-billion dollar Medicare market, and targets to touch the 60M+ individuals in the US currently eligible for Medicare and Medicare-related services, infusing cutting edge technology and a modern-day service level experience into an industry primed for innovation.

We are looking for an exceptional Head of Sales who is passionate about selling and delivering an exceptional consumer experience with a focus on driving rapid growth of this disruptive startup.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day telesales operations driving sales through leadership, coaching, and development of the sales agents
  • Design end-to-end sales approach accounting for sales capabilities of the corporate partner and alongside other digital approaches
  • Formulate sales performance KPI’s in close collaboration with the CEO and execute against set KPI’s
  • Liaise with Product to ensure a seamless user experience, and provide feedback to inform future feature development roadmap decisions
  • Work with Product and Design to provide an expert perspective on Go-to-Market and create winning sales collateral
  • Design and build the infrastructure to track and analyze performance KPIs and convert the insights into action
  • Be a thought leader in telesales growth tactics and develop world-class methodology and processes using data, reports and programs to maximize performance results
  • Be agile and iterative in your approach, and relentless in your search for the next unexploited growth opportunity
  • Complete the requirements to be a licensed insurance agent
  • Hire and train a team of licensed salespeople to augment the capabilities of the corporate partner to deliver a new product to the insurance landscape   

You should have:   

  • Ability to lead and inspire a large group of individuals to achieve aggressive sales goals with a focus on selling with a world class customer experience
  • Deep knowledge and experience working in a regulated telesales environment, health insurance preferred
  • Strong communication and coaching skills with an ability to write in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to make decisions and work collaboratively with others to solve problems
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting business relationships
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • A passion for building, bringing to market and scaling disruptive Healthcare Insurance products and services
  • Passion for data and analytics
  • Ability/willingness to travel ~25% of time
