Job Description

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks an Executive Manager, HR in Menlo Park, CA to lead a large regional or global cross-disciplinary area within the Human Resources function. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance or a related field and fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation: Streamlining functions and improving performance of all aspects of business operations; making strategic recommendations to help solve business problems; performing project management; and performing data capture and reporting. At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience must include: performing program management by orchestrating across multiple workstreams, leading meetings, identifying and resolving issues and developing executive communications; developing multi -year and annual workforce plans, ensuring integration and alignment with the business group’s financial plans and business strategies and priorities; overseeing relationships with external vendors including driving negotiation strategy with vendors, and managing vendor scope; developing Workforce Planning and Analytics capabilities including predictive modeling capabilities to drive and influence the creation of workforce strategies, and ensure related plans are in alignment with business strategies; providing solutions, analytics, and business recommendations, as well as reports on HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of people management practices, including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, retention, turnover, talent management, mobility, and career progression by assessing historical trends and building predictive models; creating scalable, cohesive HR Operations infrastructure that is tailored to employees at all levels, as well as processes and systems to enable a simple, automated, and flawless experience throughout the employee lifecycle; implementing new functionalities (including Technology), that spans determining stakeholder and business value, requirements gathering, testing, roll-out, and ensuring end-user training and adoption; and help lead M&A activities from an HR perspective including due diligence, day 1 planning and integration planning though cross functional collaboration. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree requirement. Employer will accept pre or post Master’s degree experience. 50% domestic travel required to The Bank of New York Mellon's New York City office.
