Human Resources Officer, China (CHI-HR-0015)


ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

The British Council is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

Reporting to the HR Services Manager, you will support all operational aspects of HR which include on-boarding, contract extension, termination, leave management and data analysis. Your role is to provide general HR services to ensure in line with corporate compliance and audit requirement and maintain and update all HR records, data and reports to ensure accuracy.

WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT

You will act as a role model for best practice in the area of HR and to keep up to date with British Council policies and procedures and local Chinese law. It is an opportunity to ensure all duties are delivered in line with the British Council’s policy on Child Protection and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and these is taken into account when planning and delivering activity.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To be considered successful for this role, you will bring along your knowledge of China Labour and Social Security Law. It is essential that you have a Bachelor’s Degree alongside with language proficiency in English C1 (Aptis, IELTS 6 or equivalent) and Chinese C1 (HSK 5 or equivalent). Knowledge of e-HR system or experience with payroll would be advantageous.
