We are now looking for you to come and join our Employee Relations (ER) Sweden team in the role as Senior Employee Relations (ER) Specialist. It is a permanent role, based at our office in Gothenburg.

The role

In the role as Senior ER Specialist you are a HR professional with several years’ experience in qualified HR work with responsibility for Rehabilitation processes and in handling complex individual cases.

You are the expert, responsible for the provision of consultancy services on the Rehabilitation process in Sweden, on basic rights and obligations of employers and employees arising from the contract of employment and associated legislation.

You are a key player in the development and maintenance of legally robust Rehabilitation policies, practices and processes.

You provide qualified advice and coaching to managers in Sweden as well as global managers, with employees in Sweden, related to Rehabilitation and Alcohol & Drug abuse.

Your typical accountabilites are:

  • Provide qualified advice and consultancy services for Rehabilitation, Alcohol & Drug abuse cases to local and global line managers.
  • Actively engages in establishing a new Rehabilitation team and network within AstraZeneca, nationally and globally.
  • Accountable for training, coaching and driving the correct behaviors with line managers in the selected processes.
  • Operate independently and owns case resolution, considering risks (legal, financial and reputational) and takes decisions regarding appropriate approaches for solutions; escalates only the most complex cases to internal resolution processes.
  • Closely collaborates with appropriate third parties to reach closure on cases and ensure appropriate advice is received or progress compromise agreements.
  • Develop relationships with manager and other specialists to provide employment relations advice. Acts as a strategic advisor to business leaders when contemplating or implementing business change. 
  • Independently, and together with team when appropriate, contributes to development and maintenance of legally robust employment policies and processes and application of AstraZeneca Values.
  • Facilitate and develop training programmes to up skill business leaders, line management, HR professionals and others to manage rehabilitation.
  • Ensure that changes to appropriate policies and processes in the field are communicated appropriately.
  • Regularly reviews employment relations policies, recommends enhancements and works collaboratively to update policies to ensure compliance and law fulfillment with a strive to become a role model for other employers.
  • Actively monitor and analyse process development within the field of Rehabilitation and Alcohol & Drug abuse processes outside AstraZeneca.

To succeed in this role you need to be driven, independent and be able to take own initiatives and have energy and passion for the challenges responsibility for Rehabilitation cases bring.

Essential requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or several years’ experience of qualified HR work with Rehabilitation.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law, work environment law and rehabilitation praxis.
  • Documented experience from leading complex rehabilitation cases including escalated solution processes.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organisation.
  • Analytical and strategical thinking and engagement on employee relations and related fields.
  • Good problem-solving ability and a pragmatic and solution-oriented attitude, while adopting equivalent Swedish and European legislation and AstraZeneca’s Values.
  • Good written and verbal communication in Swedish and English.
