• handle complex queries independently
• direct interaction / negotiation with tax authorities on issues / queries
• delegating the work and supervising / monitoring the deliverables to meet the audit requests

• Posses detailed / specific knowledge of the relevant transaction tax laws

• assess the degree of impact of tax legislative changes on the operations
• provide guidance to the tam to incorporate the tax changes in the process & facilitate implementation

• provide in-house consulting & training to upgrade team's knowledge
• provide trainings on tax and answer complex tax queries to other finance groups
• create tax consulting capabilities with the team especially for the ICB Entry & ICA Experts, through on-the-job exposure
• support other groups to streamline their processes

• Transaction tax Process (re)engineering

• work to simplify tax filing / payment process in collaboration with the tax authorities & local contacts
• use experience of previous assessments / audits to make the process more compliant & efficient
• leverage best-practices from other geographies within tax & other finance functions
• apply lean tools to minimize non-value add activities in the transaction tax processes

• Setup new processes and define transaction tax linkages

• create a new processes or modify existing ones to cater to inter-departmental requirements / dependencies
• remove un-necessary inter- departmental dependencies
