IT Manager (Commercial & Business Intelligence), Asia

We are looking to appoint an IT Manager for Commercial & Business Intelligence for Asia, who will lead, deliver and support next-generation commercial platforms and modern analytics for our internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial strategic, proactive manager who has expertise in both partnering with internal stakeholders as well as connecting with an array of external partners for mutual success.

Our ambition is to be pioneering in health care industry in identifying suitable technology to help patients.

Asia Area Commercial consists of India, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam. We have a total of about 3,400 employees and a revenue of close to 1.000M USD. Asia Area is a dynamic, collaborative and fast-growing business. Note that China/HK, Japan and Australia/NZ are not in scope for this role.

In Asia, we look to lead the way in developing real, valuable, actionable analytics for our teams. We also wish to take our commercial technologies to the next level, supporting our sales and medical teams with modern, innovative platforms that empower them to provide world-class support for the healthcare ecosystem.

The Asia IT Manager for Commercial & Business Intelligence will lead the development and support of these solutions, work with both global functional leads and market IT heads to align and deploy and be responsible for understanding and closing potential gaps between various stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • ​Own overall accountability for the strategic plan and overall success of Asia IT Commercial and Business Intelligence technologies.
  • Reach out, build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners (e.g.  key vendors, commercial excellence teams) to actively and effectively deliver our commercial roadmap.
  • Work extensively with our International and global commercial and business intelligence teams to align on strategy and prioritise new programs for Asia markets.
  • Provide strategic input to IT, commercial and medical teams within Asia on commercial and business intelligence topics.
  • Own Asia IT’s data dictionary and coordinate with local, regional and global teams to align on data standards and KPIs.
  • Ensure business satisfaction of internal processes and technology is high, based on regular engagement surveys with the commercial / medical teams and leadership.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong experience in all aspects of information technology, including both hardware and software
  • Experience of developing partnerships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Entrepreneur, proactive mindset with excellent business awareness and understanding
  • Experience of leadership in a complex/geographical context
  • Ability to develop and create compelling business cases to promote new technologies and outcomes to the business
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Proven experience working in commercial or business intelligence projects or programs.

Desirable Requirements

  • Degree or relevant business qualification
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical or similar industry
  • Deep experience of understanding (internal) stakeholder (salesforce) journeys
  • Strong track record of delivering commercial or business intelligence solutions
  • Leader within data / analytical thought leadership networks and organisations
  • Experience managing teams, with excellent team-working skills (especially in a culturally diverse environment) and a willingness to get alongside issues, provide clear direction and drive results
