Information Security Intern

Our Information Security Group is looking for an intern with a willingness to learn and embrace change. You will assist in the advisory, consultancy and implementation of information security and compliance requirements for BMW Group Financial Services. You will be expected to evaluate information security risk, business needs and regulatory requirements to make determinations on security implementation.

Additionally, you will be responsible to learn and apply industry-relevant security frameworks (e.g. FFIEC, NIST, ISO) to information systems. You will also assist the information security team in key security related deliverables, incident response exercises and related projects.

This is a great opportunity to interact daily with our business partners and IT professionals. An interest in threat hunting and modeling is desired.

This program will run from January - May/June 2021.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Currently enrolled full time in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Possess strong communication skills.
• Ability to think technically and forwardly.
• Ability to work a minimum of 20-40 hours per week between the hours of 8-5 on weekdays.

Additional Skills:

• Major in Mathematics, Information Technology or Engineering preferred.
• Should possess strong written/verbal communication skills, a positive attitude, analytical thinking with attention to detail, as well as the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
