IS Analyst:

 

Description of Role:

The IS Analyst will plan, conduct, and direct the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with automated systems and provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.

 

Responsibilities and Skills:

• Perform business problem analysis, design, and documentation

• Define system specifications for systems to meet business requirements

• Develop, debug, and test applications according to specifications

• Plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing

• Configure system settings and options

• Collaborate closely with business groups, IT development teams, and syste administrators to ensure successful implementation of each solution

• Identify process improvements and work with business partners effectively to implement change

• May provide consultation to users in regard to automated systems

• May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues

• Basic understanding of project management

 

Qualifications:

Assumes Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent relevant experience. Typically requires 0-2 years related and progressive experience. Internship experience preferred.
