Job Overview

The Continuous Improvement Project Management Office Intern supports a team of 6 persons engaged in cross functional projects in our Portland, OR office. This person will learn and apply basic lean tools in a dynamic, spirited, engaged office environment  

Responsibilities

- The intern will be engaged in day to day activities to support our Portland projects which last 4 months in duration and address topics such as Aftermarket, Sales, Technology, and Human Resources

- This person will learn and apply basic lean tools in a dynamic, spirited, engaged office environment as we strive to achieve our DTNA vision of being the Undisputed Market Leader

- Further develop and maintain standards across all Continuous Improvement Project Management Office SharePoint websites, collaborate with the East Coast team intern

- Assist in deployment and development of various communication mediums (PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Visio, etc.)

- Develop and demonstrate creative thinking aligned with department/project strategies

- Assist with Continuous Improvement Project Management Office projects

- Assist in documentation and other functions for Continuous Improvement events and workshops in projects and TOS (Lean) Courses

- Assist with coordination and execution of other department functions

 
 
- Must be participating in a Bachelor's Program or higher (or have graduated within the past 12 months) required
- GPA of 3.0 or higher required
- An attached resume is required
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing preferred

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required

- Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) required

- Ability to type efficiently and accurately (approx. 40+ wpm) required

- Ability to prioritize and make decisions required

- Ability to work both in a team and independently required

- Quick learner in a dynamic work environment required

- Focused, professional, organized, reliable, and responsible required

- Experience and/or knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma preferred

- Experience in Project Management preferred

- SharePoint customization preferred
