The Corporate Communications internship will provide an opportunity to gain insight into the practical workings of a fast-paced, corporate communications department. You will be involved in the development and execution of internal and external communication projects, plans and materials designed to support the department’s primary objective of informing, engaging and inspiring our audiences. This position will offer a chance to be a part of a high-functioning team making a visible impact on a growing organization.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support Global Business Unit (GBU) projects and events to gain an understanding of our businesses and to build strong communication skills. You will work with a variety of projects and activities while learning from a diverse group of communication leaders.
  • Contribute original ideas and content for messages and stories for our intranet and company tradeshows to learn and practice strategic storytelling for a diverse audience base.
  • Lead a digital asset management project aimed at locating and organizing photos, videos and multimedia content into one central location to help the team improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Internship may also involve corporate branding and collateral assignments.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work and adjust to changing deadlines
  • Flexible and able to work independently
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Curious and willing to learn new skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; collaborative and comfortable working with a variety of people
  • Creative thinker with a positive attitude; proactive and self-starter

Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or related major
  • Rising Junior preferred
  • Desired minimum GPA 3.0
