Our international trainee program is an excellent opportunity for you to contribute key added value to our company and shape your professional future with us. As a trainee at our Berlin site you will gain a broad overview of the global commercial data science function and work closely together with different Marketing Teams within Bayer`s pharmaceutical division.

As part of the global function Data Science and Advanced Analytics, you will contribute to optimize “Real-World” treatment outcomes and enable data-based business decision making.

WHAT WE OFFER

To join our trainee program, you need to have completed your master’s degree in a quantitative area (e.g. physics, economics, computer science, statistics or medicine) with excellent grades, basic knowledge in R and Python and be highly interested in Data Science and its methods. Ideally, you should also have gained initial practical experience through internships or student jobs in areas.

You will fit in particularly well if you share our passion to innovate and want your ideas to bring about change. You enjoy working with others and value the diversity of teams with people from different cultures and with different views. Team spirit, initiative and good communication skills are important. You also need to be flexible and mobile. Further, you should have spent some time studying abroad or have intercultural experience and good language skills, in particular English.

WHAT YOU OFFER

During the 15-month program you will build a network of contacts, deepen your knowledge of various aspects of applied Data Science and you will be transferred between the four different pillars within the global DSAA Function: Embedded Advanced Analytics (close collaboration & dialogue with business), Scalable Analytics Solutions (development of scalable analytics tools & recommendations in close cooperation with IT), Innovative Data Science (experts on AI, machine learning, deep learning) and Integrated Care Platform (platform for digital health solutions and data architecture design). As well as gaining an insight into Bayer, you will get to know our people, products and workflows and take on responsible assignments. The program includes several months working at one of our international sites.

Throughout the program you will be mentored by an experienced Data Scientist, who will give you feedback on your performance, define further development steps with you and help you identify possible career prospects. In addition, in every department where you are deployed, you will be assigned a specialist mentor to support you in your functional tasks.
