Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through an education degree or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a qualified teacher.
Native English Speaker, fluent in spoken and written English.
Love of teaching and working with young people.
Experience and confidence to teach across the age range of 2-6.
Ability to engage, inspire and extend children through planning, preparation and delivery of excellent lessons. Ability to ensure that marking, recording, assessment and reporting meet the academic and pastoral needs of each individual child.
Willingness to make a full contribution to the extracurricular programme.
Ability to build good relationships with children, parents and colleagues and demonstrate effective communica- tion skills.
Resilience, adaptability, patience, flexibility, a hard-working attitude, and a commitment to teamwork which are all essential requirements when founding a school.

Professional Development
Keep up to date with curriculum developments through reading, in-service training and peer observations. Participate when required in RGSNJ Staff Development and INSET and to attend staff meetings and briefings as required, some of which may be outside normal working hours.
Support the RGSNJ Development Plan.
Participate in the annual Performance Management Review.
Seek CPD opportunities that may arise from the appraisal process.
Attend meetings designed to share information necessary for the smooth running of the school and the successful delivery of its programmes.
Take responsibility for mentoring new teachers, particularly those with whom a functional relationship exists.
