Job Description

Investment Services - Securities Services

Hang Seng's Investment Services business offers a full spectrum of investment products and services to both private and corporate investors. Our customers can invest in over 400 investment funds managed by reputable international fund houses. The funds cover different asset classes, including global equities, bonds, money markets and foreign exchange markets. We also provide asset management services for retirement schemes, institutional investors and charitable organisations.

Our securities services are offered through a wide variety of trading channels - including designated branches and the Internet, as well as automated, manned and mobile phone trading.

We provide various structured products for investors as an alternative investment choice for enhancing their potential returns, while our currency-linked deposits and forex margin trading are able to provide investors with opportunities to capitalise on the FX market. Besides, we also offer bond investments to selected personal customer segments for a stable return.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Investment Services Manager.

 

Principles Responsibilities:

  • Keep abreast of latest market changes in order to recommend appropriate strategy to maintain the competitiveness of the business
  • Balance the profit margin of the business and the market share growth in view of the aggressive price war by other major competitors and shrinking retail participation in Hong Kong stocks
  • Ensure the product quality and competitiveness amongst the ever-changing and intensifying competitive market
  • Be conversant with relevant rules and regulations so that sales support initiatives will not infringe the law and expose the Bank from reputation risks
  • Keep abreast of the new development of manuals, rules and regulations in respect of investment compliance, Group's internal control standards and risk management issues
  • Take the lead in the relevant control monitoring and managements, arrange the regular and ad-hoc review and return on the control related request

 

Requirements:

  • University graduate in Finance or related disciplines
  • 5-10 years' relevant experience
  • Fulfillment of the competency requirements set out in the “Guidance Note on competence” issued by the Securities and Futures Commission.
  • Good knowledge of local stock market.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skill.
  • Strong self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
