Job Title: Head Teacher
Location: Wuhan China

Teaching and Classroom Management
• Prepare and teach high quality lessons within the Reggio approach and development to the assigned class
• Provide effective care, teaching that enables children to progress and be ready for school
• Provide accurate and productive termly student assessments and reports
• Develop and provide lesson/teaching plans
• Identify, compile and develop necessary teaching materials including worksheet, homework and exam paper
• Provide pupils with classroom and play-based educational activities as well as homework/worksheets and assess their work, providing appropriate feedback or marking to encourage further improvement and progress
• Coordinate and support the work of the teaching assistant and teaching staff
• Attend parent-teacher conferences, consultations and respond to parental requests for information
• Provide and promote the safeguarding, care and well-being of the pupils with due regard for discipline, health and safety
• Encourage exemplary behaviour and max attendance of all pupils and deal with disciplinary issues with support, where appropriate, from the management
• Work with other colleagues to maintain a stimulating, safe and appropriate learning environment
• Participate in the life of the school, including continuing professional development, performance management, school routines/events, duties and other whole school activities
• Identify risk factors and report to the principal with actionable recommendations
• Organise and participate in pupils’ outing activities or field trips
• Provide appropriate and basic first aid support as required
Administration and Management
• Assist the principal preparing letter homes, announce and relevant invitations
• Assist the principal to check and advice on student assessment and reports prepared by the teachers

Qualifications:
-Native English speaker (have passport of UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand/US/Canada)
-Bachelor’s degree or above (Early childhood education or Arts preferred)
-Early childhood education experience preferred
-TEFL/TESOL/CELTA or other teaching certification
-Clean background
-Enjoy working with children

Working Hours:
8am to 5pm (1 hour’s break for lunch), Monday to Friday
