The appointee will be responsible for (a) collecting, packing and delivering goods, including dangerous goods and chemical wastes; (b) housekeeping of stores and vehicles; (c) order-processing and communication with clients; and (d) providing general support to the Dangerous Goods Stores Unit and the University Safety Office. The job will include outdoor and strenuous works. The appointee will need to complete and pass training courses during the first year of service.

Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education, preferably in the Science stream; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B), OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) a valid driving licence of light goods vehicle and at least 1 year’s relevant driving experience; (iv) familiarity with MS Windows applications; and (v) the ability to work independently.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
