Description:


In order to protect Daimler’s interests in JVs, provide legal support to issues relating to Daimler’s JVs and their business in Greater China; Provide legal support to Daimler AG.


1. Contracts
- Advising on contractual structures
- Drafting and reviewing
- Negotiation
- Finalization and support in execution
- Filing and registration

2. Legal advice
- Review and interpretation of contracts and other documents
- Review of cases and situations and legal assessment
- Analysis of questions, scenarios, strategies and proposals

3. Litigation
- Courts
- Arbitral tribunals
- Administrative agencies

4. Investigations
- Point of contact for investigating authorities and officers (prosecutors, stock exchange commissions, competition authorities etc.)
- Advising employees and management on rights and duties

5. Policies and Guidelines
- Advising on and drafting corporate policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Support in interpretation and implementation

6. External counsel coordination
- Selection of external counsel
- Engagement of and negotiation with external counsel
- Monitoring and managing external counsel

7. Lobbying
- Cooperate with EA, CEO and other internal stakeholders
- Liaise with other market participants (industry, associations)
- Network with authorities, agencies, lawyers, scholars and think tanks

8. training
- Daimler employees in Greater China
- Possibly JVs’ employees (such as anti-trust training)

9. Administration
- Coordinate with IL/LG Operations, IL/LG and IL
- Reporting
