MINI Sales & Marketing Intern (12 months)

Job Description

The MINI Sales & Marketing Intern will support both the Brand Marketing and Sales team. The main focus areas of the role are budget management for the entire team, executional support for the two Specialist roles in the areas of Digital, CRM, Partnerships, Campaigns, etc, Performance Reporting, and support for the Regional Operations Managers and Director, MINI. 
 

Specific responsibilities include:

Marketing

  • Raise all CM-C4-CA Brand and DAG estimates in SAP, and ensure all invoices are paid. Liase with Controlling to ensure all transfers, tracking, etc. are up to date.
  • Weekly check to ensure leads have been received by retailers (twice per week).
  • Host monthly budget reconciliation meetings for Marketing team.
  • Support Digital Specialist on a quarterly basis to audit retailer website and social media practices, and provide recommendations to improve. 
  • Learn to work with creative and media agencies through micro digital campaigns.
  • Be the lead in ensuring the Marketing Hub, a central repository for Canadian MINI imagery, videos, and guidelines, are up to date with MINI’s most recent content to support retailers.
  • Lead execution of content development for Retailer Direct. 
  • Assist with roll-out of partnership programs (ex. Plug N Drive).
  • Lead execution of guerilla activations (ex. MINI Acts of Kindess), and support events/virtual meetups as required.
  • Support Product Manager with respect to competitive analysis, product and trim sample distribution, and other ad hoc projects.

Sales

  • Weekly update of sales forecasting tracker document for Director.
  • Compile monthly DRA / PC lists from retailers.
  • Develop visit template, then prepare for each retailer visit / virtual visit, for MINI Regional Operations Managers.
  • Prepare Monthly/Quarterly regional reports for sales volume, sales mix, market share etc.
  • Regional Marketing Co-op claim processing and reports. 
  • Purchase orders processing.
  • Regional events / virtual events planning.
     
Our Corporate Headquarters, located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, is looking for a MINI Sales & Marketing Intern to work in our MINI Department starting January 2021 for a 12 month tenure.
  • In progress or recent completion of a Diploma or Degree in Marketing or related field. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills. 
  • Very strong organization, project management, and attention to detail skills. 
  • Ability to own projects from start to finish and adhere to strict deadlines. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Ability to build clear and impactful presentations. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, work-intensive environment. 
  • Understanding of paid media categories and media planning considered an asset. 
  • Automotive industry background would be an asset. 
  • Bilingual in French would be considered an asset.
