Job Description:

Sr. Mechanical Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical & thermal development projects related to our MPT3000 tester platform device interface and 93K SOC DIB mechanical development, Interfacing with multiple teams and a proactive work ethic is a must.

Must have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Skill tracking issues for multiple, time-critical projects across different departments.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks

Responsibilities include:

Design, & Test interface hardware for new development projects. Work with customers and account managers to understand test requirements and communicate to our design teams and manufacturing to facilitate production of products.

Design emphasis includes: Thermal analysis and design for cooling or devices under test. Optimized hardware and tolerance analysis for manual or automated insertion of devices. Low cost manufacturing practices including molding, sheet metal and design standardization.

Design prototypes for customer special project/evaluations. Support procurement, design and testing reporting findings back to our factory.

Drive investigations regarding failure analysis, publish findings and implement corrective actions.

Understand and promote design and material choices to reduce manufacturing cost.

Understand and represent, to our DI business unit and to Advantest manufacturing, the customer overall technical and schedule goals and needs. Be proactive in promoting the customers technical and schedule interests inside Advantest America and our subsidiaries in Asia
