Your opportunity

Our Hong Kong office is looking for a Manager, Digital Procurement Advisory to join our Customer & Operations team and help our clients transform their Procurement organisation through technology, organisation redesign and process re-engineering.

We are looking for a candidate with specific experience and skills in the following areas

- Exposure to a variety of structural procurement challenges and issues, procurement transformation and technology enablement programmes
- Expertise in implementing e-procurement solutions, whether specific related ERP modules (e.g. Oracle, SAP, etc.) or best-of-breed source-to-contract (S2C) or procure-to-pay (P2P) solutions (e.g. Coupa, Ivalua, SAP Ariba, etc.)
- Exposure to the management of complex programmes that span across several countries and business entities, and the remote coordination of team members and stakeholders
- Experience in personnel management and demonstrated ability to lead efforts of other colleagues and contribute to the development of younger practitioners
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex business problems, structure and synthesise findings and conclusions
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

The responsibilities attributable to this role include the following

- Act as the Engagement Manager in the delivery of e-procurement system implementations and other procurement-related projects, ensuring diligent commercial, financial and risk management
- Manage a team of KPMG professionals and client stakeholders located across various sites and countries to ensure the timely completion of project milestones
- Familiarise clients with leading practices through demos and workshops, and identify gaps and opportunities to optimise and digitalise practices
- Work closely with clients across the different stages of their procurement digitalisation journey, from the preparation of the business case and vendor selection to the design and configuration of the e-Procurement solution
- Lead the development of proposals and other prospective business development activities, by building or leveraging existing relationships with C-level executives
- Take a significant role in sharing knowledge and developing solutions, and provide coaching to other team members to ensure excellent client delivery and support their career development

The candidate will have the qualifications below

- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement transformation enabled by leading technology with a good track record of delivering high-quality project outputs
- Experience implementing and/or using leading e-Procurement solutions (e.g. Coupa, Ivalua, SAP Ariba, Oracle Fusion, etc.)
- Knowledge of e-Procurement solutions (Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay, Contract Lifecycle Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Third-Party Risk Management, etc.)
- Proven technology project management experience
- Management consulting experience will be considered an asset
- Industry experience should include banking, insurance, FMCG and/or manufacturing industries
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics or Engineering, with related work experience
- M. Sc. in a relevant discipline or MBA will be considered an asset
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Mandarin and Cantonese will be considered an asset
