Follows techniques/process procedures in supporting the manufacturing floor and SCS Site Receiving support. Assists in the execution of process changes within the manufacturing environment. Executes defined processes in handling and the logistics that supports the operation as documented.

  • Safety: Identify ergonomic and safety issues and work with the supervisor and other necessary groups that need to be involved to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner. Demonstrate adherence to departmental cleanroom, gowning and environmental procedures on a daily basis. Adherence to Chemical Handling Safety protocol.
  • Customer Delivery: Maximize throughput without sacrificing quality of the product to meet customer expectations. Meet production goals and be flexible to seamlessly incorporate change of business needs and changing priorities. Schedule driven and understands the prioritization of the workflow.
  • Quality: Working within an ISO13485 or QSR environment, ensure a Commitment to Quality is demonstrated and practiced.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Awareness and participation in continuous improvement efforts for process/workflow optimization/improvements (i.e., PDCA, Lean Mfg., Six Sigma, 5S) as identified by production supervisor. Identify opportunities for process optimization and increased throughput to supervisor.
  • Yields: Ensure to follow SOP's/process documentation, operating instructions, pass/fail criteria for consistent production performance within your respective shift.
  • Process Stability: Identify and inform supervisor/engineer of issues that contribute or can result in a compromise of product quality due to the inability to execute the process in a consistent repetitive manner. Accurate and timely logging of data and tracking.
  • Training: Certification achieved and maintained in your own area of operation. Willingness to participate in initial training/shadowing of peers as identified by supervisor.
  • Communication: Participation in team shift pass downs and effective utilization of communications systems such as communication logs. NCRs/DNs are acknowledged and communicated to co-workers or shift to shift. Ensure priority changes, process changes, safety issues, etc. are communicated to your supervisor and co-workers. Inform supervisor of any non-conformities regarding material, process, equipment behaviors and communication of priorities.
 
A strong candidate for this role will:
  • Have flexibility by effectively transitioning to changing priorities and ability to adjust to shift changes/work hours as required to meet business requirements
  • Be able to embrace additional responsibilities and extend expertise to other work groups as identified by supervisor
  • Able to follow established processes unless otherwise instructed by the shift supervisor, tech or engineering related to experimental requests
  • Possess accuracy in communication (verbal and written), generation and interpretation of SOPs/WIs/production documentation for shift pass downs and/or shift meeting
  • Fully support QMS (ISO13485/QSR); Six Sigma, Lean Mfg., PDCA, 5S, NPI and Continuous Process optimization endeavors
  • Proven success in analytical problem solving
  • Possess strong mathematics understanding
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills utilizing word, excel (minimal requirement)
  • Have previous experience with ERP/MES systems, SAP system preferred
  • Have previous experience within an ISO13485 and/or QSR environment
  • Effective training and transfer of knowledge when required
  • Prior experience being able to Accurate interpretation and execution of work instructions and SOPs
  • Ability to make sound and informed decisions and understands when to escalate issues to technicians and/or supervisors
  • Show active team participation in EHS programs (ERT/MERT) a plus
SHIFT: Sunday-Tuesday, every other Wednesday. 4:45AM-5:15PM
